Network Roadmap
We build in the open. This reflects current priorities and will evolve. No mainnet date is promised until the network is externally audited and ready. Testnet coins have no value.
1 · Public testnet (invited) — current
The public tmor testnet is live, with invited / controlled access while we validate stability. Foundation-operated relay swarm on real servers. Messenger (1:1, groups, channels, attachments, voice, calls, and the onion-only Shadow identity), desktop wallet, and mining pool are live. The relay economy runs in dry-run and on-chain emission stays dormant (gated).
Two limits worth stating plainly at this stage: the desktop wallet can receive and scan shielded funds but cannot yet spend them, and there is no way to authenticate a released binary until the update root is live.
2 · Economy activation
The on-chain relay-reward system (already implemented and gated) is switched on for testnet after the authority key ceremony and a genesis reset. Relays earn on-chain; the reward loop (relay → registry → emission → payout) is validated end to end.
3 · Public testnet (open)
Open relay onboarding and open sign-ups on the same tmor testnet. The Android app ships to testers. External security audit begins. The @handle registration and discovery economy are exercised at scale.
4 · Audit & hardening
Independent Tor / cryptography audit of the onion and messaging stack. Findings fixed in the open. Reproducible, signed releases across all clients.
5 · Mainnet candidate
Mainnet key ceremony (launch reserves, developer-fund multisig), audited parameters, a release candidate, and a final review. Only then is a mainnet date discussed.
Deliberately deferred (not blocking testnet): block-1 investor payouts and vesting, app-store distribution of the mobile app, and any staking/slashing on mainnet.
