Donations keep the lights on
Morana is volunteer-built open source with no company behind it. Donations pay for the things that cost real money — servers, an independent security audit, and development time.
Three things, named
Not “project development” in general. These are the actual line items.
The nodes, the relay swarm, the mining pool, the gateway and this website run on rented machines with a monthly bill.
An outside review of the cryptography, the onion routing and the messaging stack. It is required before mainnet and it is not cheap.
Time spent building and fixing the chain, the wallet, the messenger and the pool.

We will accept MOR and the currencies that are practical to pay with today. Nothing is live until the addresses appear here.

What we will report
When donations start arriving we will publish what came in and what it was spent on. There are no figures on this page yet because there is nothing to report — the report appears with the first contribution. We would rather show you an empty section than a number we made up.
What a donation is not
- It does not buy you coins, and it does not put you in line for any.
- It is not an investment and it carries no expectation of return of any kind.
- It buys no influence over the protocol, the roadmap or any decision.
